Absolutely horrible! Waited 2 and a half hours and didn't even get "checked in" this hospital is useless! Better off driving to Springfield you'll probably be in and out before these people even check you in. Staff is also very rude and unhelpful. Something needs to be done about this place.

Brought my girlfriend here after a motor vehicle accident that happened on Friday. We went to a different er on the night of (which improperly treated her) she was told by her PCP to return to the ER immediately for a CT scan. When we got there the nurse who took her information kept cutting her off after every question, she was more than rude and unprofessional. Then the ER doctor came in and treated us with such disrespect for listening to her doctor. He called her PCP an amateur along with yelling at her and raising his voice saying that he knows what he's about because he's been a doctor for years. All in all it was an awful experience and we ended up walking out feeling like we were stupid. Never going here again. They really need to get new staff or properly train them.

  • Most of my experience has been as a regular patient not emergency room. The check in staff is fast and efficient. Most are very friendly and personable. Sometimes they are extremely busy and it seems they may be trying to be more efficient then personable. Understandable. I've never experienced any rudeness although I've seen many rude patients give them a hard time. I've had 2 emergency room experiences. One with chest pain and one with a couple cracked ribs. The chest pain was dealt with very quickly and comfortably. I was admitted for an overnight stay for observation. Everyone from the emergency room to the hospital itself was caring and attentive. The cracked rib visit was on a very busy night in the ER. A bit like "Night at The Museum" Lots of weird admissions But mostly people in worse shape than I was in which explains my longer wait time to be seen and dealt with. But when I WAS seen it was professional and courteous treatment. I was xray-ed, diagnosed, treated, given a pain reliever, advice, a prescription and released. Over the years I've had some minor inconveniences which are expected but overall very happy with the staff and care.

Sucks. Had to got emergency room, was asked the same set of questions 3 times. Once in waiting room, once in chair after waiting room door and then again in an emergency room. These were basic questions, name, address..... All while I sat there with an impaled finger. I am looking for specialized services for a family member that needs a referral, been working this this for almost a year and it just isn't going to happen I guess. Monson office says they called Springfield office, Springfield office says no record of the call/referral. It is a pretty serious referral I need and I am really upset about this more than any other issue. Now I am trying to set up an appointment with a long term Dr. I have been with for years and the answering service refuses to let me talk to the nurse who sets up my appointment. She wants to set me up for another useless test. Sure miss Umass memorial.
